Who We Are

Founded in 1966, Bethany Ranch Home, Inc is a premier, Christian non-profit, 501(C) (3) organization serving individuals with developmental disabilities through residential and community-based programs.

The mission of Bethany Ranch Home is to provide an array of comprehensive, integrated services which promote and advance maximum social, physical, vocational, mental and spiritual growth potential for people with developmental disabilities and their families.

A broad range of services is offered, each one designed to empower and enhance the individual’s dignity and ability to lead a personally fulfilling life.

Bethany Ranch Home, Inc has over 44 years of experience providing services to individuals with developmental disabilities in Arizona. Bethany offers nurturing and supportive residential opportunities in group homes, adult developmental homes and independent living arrangements. Day programs, transportation, and home and community based services are also available.

The current administrative staff  have many years of experience. Co-Executive Director, Dr. Barbara Oxley, NMD, RN, MSN, FNP, is a licensed naturopathic physician and registered nurse with a master’s of science degree in nursing and a family nurse practitioner specialty. She and her husband, Co-Executive Director, Dr. John Oxley, who is also a licensed physician in Arizona, each have over 25 years experience serving people with developmental disabilities.  They have completed many hours of post-doctoral studies in various subjects including treatments of developmental disabilities and psychiatric illnesses, associated medical conditions, autism spectrum disorders, positive behavior supports and specialties in Down syndrome throughout the lifespan and during the geriatric period. Both are Defeat Autism Now certified physiciansThey are currently the Programmatic and Medical Directors of the agency. Bethany Ranch carefully monitors the health and medical status of our consumers to ensure that they receive proper healthcare from qualified providers, and we are strong advocates in their behalf.

The staff and ADH providers at Bethany Ranch are required to meet high standards of quality and care. Our ADH providers receive positive behavior modification training and specific supports from our experienced staff to help them successfully handle all challenges. Administrative staff is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to provide advice and help with all services, concerns and emergencies.
